Orlando Pride and San Diego Wave took the field at 7:00 pm Sunday, September 25th at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida. Orlando Pride played a 4 – 5 – 1 with McLeod at goalie, Petersen, Pressley, Lawrence, Jimenez on defense, Hanson, Oyster, Jonsdottir at midfield, Dougherty Howard, Pruitt, and Reiss as forwards. San Diego Wave played a 4 – 3 – 3 with Sheridan at goalie, McNabb, Girma, Dahlkemper, Westphal at defense, Kornieck, Van Egmond, Johnson at midfield, Shaw, Taylor, and Jakobsson at forward. After 90 minutes, with an extra 5 minutes added at halftime and 8 minutes at the end of regulation, the teams tied 2-2. Meggie Dougherty Howard on the Orlando Pride scored in the 33rd minute. Gunnhildur Yrsa Jonsdottir on the Orlando Pride scored in the 68th minute. Makenzy Doniak on the San Diego Wave scored in the 76th minute. Taylor Kornieck on the San Diego Wave scored in the 87th minute.



During the game fans in 4 sections got some scarves and bucket hats as they were the winning sections to win that gear. This was Orlando Prides' last home game of the season as they will not be making the playoffs this year. San Diego made the playoffs and will play their last regular season game against North Carolina Friday, September 30th. Orlando Pride plays its last game of the season on Saturday, October 1st against the OL Reign. Make sure to watch Orlando Prides’ last game of the 2022 season and then come out and support them in their 2023 season where they hope to win the NWSL championship.
